What Happened at the ACC Meeting in Dhaka?
The ACC meeting in Dhaka took place on Thursday. Although the meeting had its share of drama due to political tensions, mainly between India and Pakistan, the outcome was positive. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which is the official host of the tournament, was asked to handle the remaining formalities and prepare the final schedule.
As things stand, the full schedule may be released in parts. Some details might come out on Saturday, and the rest could follow by Monday, unless everything is revealed together over the weekend. The tournament is likely to be held from September 10 to 28. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to host the matches.
One of the main reasons for the delay was said to be some pending discussions with commercial partners. The BCCI informed the ACC about this during the meeting. Now that those matters have been sorted, the formal announcement is expected soon.Â
