South Africa’s tour of Australia continues with the three-match ODI series between August 19-24. The first ODI will be played on August 19 at Cairns from 10:00 AM IST.
South Africa, after going down in the T20I series despite playing better cricket, will look to make a comeback in the ODI series. They lost the high-scoring decider by two wickets to lose the T20I series.
Australia will be led by Mitchell Marsh, who led them to a T20I series win. He will continue to lead the side in the ODI series with the likes of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins rested. Marnus Labuschagne is back in the ODIs, with Steve Smith not part of the series. Temba Bavuma is back as the ODI skipper for South Africa. Aiden Markram continues to be a key batter in the side. Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Burger form the bowling core. Dewald Brevis is part of the ODI side as well.

Australia vs South Africa Pitch Report: Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns
After hosting matches in the domestic season and in the BBK, the Cazaly’s stadium hosted the third T20I, which was the first T20I international played at the venue. The pitch behaved well and was a good one for the batters. The series now switches to ODIs. The venue has already hosted five T20Is with two matches won each by the team batting first and chasing. 267 runs is the highest total posted by Australia against the Kiwis in 2022.
