Jasprit Bumrah proves time again why he is rated the best pacer in the current generation across formats. One after another record, the premier pacer breaks with minimum fuss. In the ongoing first Test against England in Leeds, the 31-year-old went past legendary cricketer Wasim Akram's long-standing record for the pacer to have taken the most wickets in the SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, & Australia) Countries.
Bumrah has now 148 wickets from just 60 innings in the SENA countries. With the wickets of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, and Joe Root, the pacer achieved this mind-boggling record. The Indian pacer now tops the list, followed by Akram (146), Anil Kumble (141), Ishant Sharma (130), and Mohammed Shami (123). So far in the two days of the Test match, Bumrah has been the standout bowler in Leeds on a surface where, in the large parts, the other pacers have struggled.

In his first over only, the 31-year-old made an impact as he troubled Crawley with awkward bounce and prodigious swing and seam. He got his reward as he dismissed the England opener for just (4) runs. It was a classic Jasprit Bumrah dismissal as he squared up the right-hand batter, as a result, Crawley ended up giving an easy catch to Karun Nair in the slips section.

Jasprit Bumrah takes his revenge on Ben Duckett, has the last laugh
For the unversed, before the IND-ENG Test series, Duckett told Mail Sport that there is nothing the Indian pacer has that can surprise him. However, with the southpaw established at the crease for more than two overs and batting in the 60s could not keep a Bumrah delivery away as he was the second wicket to fall for the hosts.
"I've faced him in a five-Test series before. I know what he's going to do to me, and the good thing about that is I know what skills he has," said Duckett.
“There's going to be nothing that surprises me,” he added.
