After breaking MS Dhoni's Test centuries record, India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has now registered another record. During the first session on day three of the Leeds Test match, the southpaw took a simple catch of Centurian Ollie Pope. That was not an ordinary catch, as it was his 150th catch behind the stumps. In doing so, Pant has joined Syed Kirmani and Dhoni in the list of most catches taken by the Indian wicketkeepers.

The former Indian captain leads the list with (256) catches, followed by Kirmani with (160) catches. Not known as one of the best wicketkeepers, Pant has worked on his keeping and now has become an indispensable figure on the Test team. On the first day of the play, the Southpaw also reached 3000 Test runs in just 43 Test matches.

The 27-year-old is the second wicketkeeper-batter from India to get to 3000 Test runs. In the first innings, Pant played responsibly and mixed caution with aggression while reaching a record seventh Test century. After he got to the landmark, the wicketkeeper-batter celebrated by somersaulting.
