Now, Yuvraj has started mentoring Punjab Kings’ opening pair, Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya. The duo, who’ve been key to PBKS reaching the IPL 2025 finals, are using their off-season to train with the veteran.
Punjab Kings shared pictures of Yuvraj guiding their promising openers, with one showing him helping Priyansh Arya from Delhi fine-tune his technique.
PBKS captioned this post with “Learning from the OG #YuvrajSingh.”
PBKS Golden Duo
Punjab Kings found a golden pair at the top with Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh in IPL 2025. Priyansh lit up the season with a 103 off 42 balls vs CSK, smashing his ton in just 39 balls – joint-4th fastest in IPL history. He became only the 8th uncapped player to hit an IPL century, with 9 sixes and 7 fours in that knock. He followed it up with a 69-run blitz vs KKR and kicked off his season with a sharp 47 off 23 on debut.

On the other hand, Prabhsimran was all about consistency – 500+ runs in the season, becoming just the third uncapped PBKS batter to cross that mark after Shaun Marsh and Abhishek Sharma. Together, the duo gave Punjab explosive starts throughout the campaign, dominating powerplays and setting the tone early.
